Vintage Flower Seed Packet Wafer Paper Cookies

Plant yourself a cookie garden with these beautiful vintage seed packets! Set of edible wafer papers includes 12 different seed packet designs. To  make these Spring Garden cookies you will need:

Vintage Flower Seed Packet Wafer Paper
No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe
- 1 bag of royal icing mix
Rectangle Cookie Cutter
Edible Clear Writing Gel
- Wax or parchment paper
- Small craft scissors

Instructions:

1. Use No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe and cut out several rectangular cookie shapes. Bake and cool as directed.

2. Ice each cookie with 1 layer of royal icing. Let completely dry.

3. Carefully cut out wafer paper shapes using craft scissors, making sure each one will fit on the cookie. Be careful, wafer paper is fragile!

4. Adhere each wafer paper cut out to a cookie shape by adhering a thin layer of edible clear writing gel (or light corn syrup) to the top of the iced cookies.

Easter Bunny Cookies

Easter Sweet Bunnies Wafer Paper Cookies

Easter Sweet Bunnies Wafer Paper Cookies

Give the gift of a charming cookie decorated with one of our wonderful Edible Easter Bunny Images. Here is how to make them!

YOU WILL NEED:

- Sweet Easter Bunnies Wafer Paper Set
- No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe, see below
- 1 bag of royal icing mix
- Scalloped Round Cutter Set
- Edible Clear Writing Gel
- Royal Icing Carrot Decorations
- Wax or parchment paper
- Small craft scissors

INSTRUCTIONS: 

1. Use No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe and cut out several circular cookie shapes. Bake and cool as directed.

2. Ice each cookie with 1 layer of royal icing or buttercream, if you prefer. Let completely dry.

3. Carefully cut out wafer paper shapes using craft scissors, making sure each one will fit on the cookie. Be careful, wafer paper is fragile!

4. Adhere each wafer paper cut-out to a rectangluar cookie shape by adhering a thin layer of edible clear writing gel (or light corn syrup) to the top of the iced cookies.

5. Flip each cookie face down on a piece of wax paper to dry for about 30 minutes (this will keep the wafer paper shape flat).

6. Flip cookies over and add one Royal Icing Carrots to each cookie with a dab of edible clear writing gel.

7. Let completely dry and store in an airtight container.

SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE:

- 6 cups all purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Cream sugar and butter until fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl and add to butter mixture. Mix well.

2. Put a handful of the freshly made dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll to desired thickness. Repeat with the rest of the dough. Put the rolled dough, including the parchment paper, on a cookie sheet and refrigerate for 10 minutes or longer. Your dough will be chilled and ready to cut and bake with no wait and no added flour! Repeat with scraps after cutting cookies.

3. Bake at 350° F for 8 -10 minutes. Let cool. Recipe makes 8 dozen 3″ cookies.
